every project is both. always
THE BACKGROUND
Nearly a decade in learning and development — across insurance, corporate software, and independent work — building software training, soft skills programs, AI literacy content, and video-based learning across more formats than most practitioners ever touch.
The work has been seen. It's been used. It's changed how people do their jobs. At one point it earned an invitation to present at an Adobe conference — not because I applied, but because someone saw something I made.
Arc & Slate is where that work lives now, available to the organizations and creators who need it most.
WHAT I BELIEVE ABOUT TRAINING
Training isn’t a document.
It’s an experience.
It should be relatable — built for the actual person watching, not a hypothetical learner. It should be quick and easy to watch, because attention is the first thing training has to earn before it can teach anything. It should be impactful — not just informative. The best training changes behavior, which means it first has to change how someone feels.
It should be engaging enough to make someone want to know what comes next. And it should feel like an experience someone chose rather than an obligation they survived.
And it should look like the people watching it.
That belief is personal. Training is one of the primary ways organizations communicate their values to their people. When the content doesn't reflect the actual diversity of the room, the message lands wrong before a word is spoken.
Every project Arc & Slate produces is built to reflect the world as it actually is. Not as a checkbox. As a baseline.
